Dan, in a few words
I’m quite aware that the name of my company isnt really the most original or cutting edge, but creating is simply what i do.
The business has been open for 5 years, and to date I have sculpted brand direction for companies, designed packaging, creatively artworked for existing brands, worked in publishing & provided illustration. However, before I learnt about bitmaps and vectors, I have always had a creative obsession after picking up a pencil for the first time when I was very, very small.
My previous endeavours have led me to practice with mediums such as spray paint, oils & ink. I initially cut my teeth as a street artist, then fell in love with Children’s Illustration, where my work went on to be published & my oil paintings (an extension from this style) were exhibited at the odd gallery, including La Louvre in Paris (though i would like to add that it was the Carousel bit in the middle, not hanging near the Mona Lisa).
After graduating university with my Illustration degree I then learned my Graphic Design trade in a print studio, which - I believe - gives me a unique insight into creating a finished product that looks as good in your hand as it does on the screen. It turns out my approach is working, with relationships built with brands that keep coming back.
In time away from being at his screen, I like to try and improve my surfing & mountain bike skills (which there is a lot of room for), draw & collect vinyl.
